Postcards got their start in the early 1870s, but it wasn’t until the twentieth century that they really took off as a form of communication. Wayne Sundberg and Mike Viney both have extensive Fort Collins postcard collections. They brought in Meg Dunn to help with some of the writing and will soon be publishing a book on Fort Collins postcards. (Stay tuned for more info!) 

Wanting to share their postcards with other collectors, they decided to put their collection online.
